Lisa Edelstein was an American actress who is best known for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical drama. As a child of very strict Jewish childhood she was able to move from Wayne to New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of the Arts. Her performance quickly made her a part of the club scene in New York. The performances she gave were so impressive that the local press took note. She then used her background and fame along with her personal training to both write and perform a show called Positive Me. In the following year she was recruited by MTV to present Awake on the Wild Side. When Awake on the Wild Side was no longer running, she started acting in movies and television, first with brief parts. In time, her experience as an actress grew.
